After Structural Engineers were
called in to assess the damage. Making safe surrounding property is priority. The
demolition and clearing of the site is now under way. In passing I had a quick chat with the Chief of works who
said that people who live in the street had taken things pretty well
considering, but for those personally affected it would be the things that
could not be replaced and memories that mattered most. All other things should
be covered by insurance. 3 Properties will be replaced. Remedial work
will be carried out to reinstate surrounding properties including some damage to roofs.
